G & A Auctions is a family-owned and operated auction company founded by three lifelong Matagorda County natives— Colt Adams, Tyler Adams and C.J. Griffith. Growing up in the farm and ranch industries along the Texas Gulf Coast, they learned early the value of hard work, integrity, and treating people right.
With a strong understanding of equipment and the needs of agricultural and construction communities, the founders recognized the need for a trustworthy, dependable, and reputable auction service in the region. From that vision, G & A Auctions was born—built on honesty, fairness, and relationships that extend far beyond the sale ring.
In 2015, Colt, Tyler, and C.J. came together with a shared goal: to create an auction company that put people first. Their very first auction was held in a field in Markham, Texas, where they sold around 40 lots and generated $8,000. It was a small but promising beginning.
Since that day, G & A Auctions has grown rapidly through hard work and word-of-mouth trust. The company now sells equipment to buyers around the world, maintains a base of more than 5,000 registered customers, and conducts quarterly equipment auctions in El Campo, Texas. Over the years, G & A has also handled a wide range of sales, including estate auctions, business liquidations, school district sales, and inventory reduction auctions.
Through all this growth, the company’s values have stayed the same: treat every customer like they’re number one—and always stand behind your word.
